C&K Launches New Illuminated Pushbutton Switch for Professional Audio/Video Equipment, Vending Machines, Network Equipment & Instrumentation Systems

C&K, the leading manufacturer of high reliability electromechanical switches, today announced the launch of its new illuminated pushbutton switch, the KLS Series LED SPDT/DPDT Pushbutton switch. Featuring positive tactile feedback and a wide choice of LED color, the KLS Series are perfect for use in the latest vending machine, networking, kiosk or professional audio/video equipment designs.

The KLS Series are available in a momentary or lock version, with either a SPDT (single-pole, double-throw) or a DPDT (double-pole, double-throw) contact configuration. This gives engineers the application versatility they need for today’s innovative product designs, while still ensuring they have the same switch housing size. Gold or silver contact materials are available, making the product suitable for broader application, and covering the dry circuit rated area.

A wide variety of bright LED illuminations and various cap colors and styles provide engineers with the flexibility to clearly indicate the switch on/off position and its identity on a busy control board. In addition, a designer can add standard or custom markings, such as a logo, on the cap to symbolize the switch’s functionality.

C&K’s new KLS Series are process sealed for wave soldering assembly, enabling quicker and easier cleaning in the process. They have an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, a mechanical operating life of 1,000,000 cycles and an electrical operating life of 200,000 cycles (on both gold and silver plating).
